How Saarloos in the Czech Republic Arrived
A famous breeder of White Swiss Shepherd Jana Nováková got to know about the Dutch race of Saarloos Wolfdog in 1996 from a cynological magazine. She was entirely amazed by the race that she always checked on every dog show if any dog of the Saarloos race was present. I assisted in some of the Jana searching and finally at the world show in Dortmund I was amazed by the Saarloos, too. We started intensive arrangements for import of the first Saarloos Wolfdog to the Czech Republic. Soon after Mrs. Nováková got the contact of a Dutch club of Saarloos an obstacle appeared. The club wasn’t really much excited about the idea of exporting Saarloos dogs to the Czech Republic and therefore the import conditions were very strict. Not even the interventions of Mrs. Nováková’s cousin, living in Holland for a long time, helped. At the beginning 2006 we found out that Ing. Soukupová had managed to bring a puppy of Saarloos – a bitch Iris. Thanks to Mrs. Soukupová we got the contact with a Finnish breeder Susky Turkila. After a detailed breeding conditions screening we finally succeeded in importing 3 Saarloos Wolfdog. And that is how other Saarloos Wolfdog came to the Czech Republic: Waldo, a 15 months old dog of red colour, Kiss, a 4 months old of wood brown colour and Hany, a 4 months old bitch of wolf gray colour. The first litter in the Czech Republic was made by the bitch Wolfsirius Honey Kiss and a male dog Dvořák De Louba Tar of a Hungarian breeder Edit Molnar. Second and more successful litter in 2008 was a result of connection of Wolfsirius Honey Kiss and a male dog Cid Liard Que Chakka Lou of breeder Cornelia Keizer (a grandchild of Mr. Leendert, a founder of the Saarloos race).

Aim of the Presentation
My website should be noticed especially by people loving nature, dogs or just by curious people. My aim was to make a place for information on the Saarloos Wolfdogs (SW) in the Czech Republic. I am owner of a breeding bitch Wolfsirius Honey Kiss but thanks to my profession I decided to entrust my bitch to the hands of the experienced breeder Jana Nováková. Most of information I am resourcing from her.
My investments in the SW certainly were not targeted towards the economical results but aimed at spreading the race which amazed me so much with its pure soul and beauty of body, in my country. In this spirit I would like to keep my website. Therefore you should be able to find here information about history and especially about the current breeding development of SW in the Czech Republic. I will share with you my experiences with co-existence with these great creatures, with breeding and everything I will hear about. If you have any experiences of your own, do not hesitate and tell me about them.
In the interesting links you will not find only the SW breeders in the Czech Republic but also some breeders abroad with whom we have experience. I didn’t forget about the organizations dealing with SW.
I believe that I will please even the laymen visiting my website accidentally by the choice of photos placed in the photo gallery. I wish to all of you many nice moments spent either on this website or together with your real Saarloos.
How to Meet the Saarloos Wolfdog?
I am offering a visit at Mrs. Nováková’s in Litvínov. You can see there not only a red SW but also my Kiss of wood-brown colour. You will see her son from the first litter and son from the second litter. You will have an opportunity to compare their behaviour with more domesticated race of White Swiss Shepherd. You will see their behaviour in the pack, behaviour towards the people and ask anything you would like to know about the dogs. If you have a serious interest and a bit more of time then I believe that you will agree on a possible walk together with the dogs.
